Firewalls and VoIP

NAT & Firewalls typically present some challenges to VoIP, however with a good understanding of what’s happening it’s possible to make VoIP calls work easily. And being able to have external extensions and bridges with remote offices is one of the cool features of VoIP. This VoIP nugget gives a high level introduction to the problems and what must be done.

While it obviously will require some configuration work, making firewalls and VoIP mix isn't such a bad idea. With all the cyber threats these days, there is no such thing as going overboard with security.
